Sous Chef

We are seeking a Sous Chef to work at our busy restaurant serving modern Italian and casual cuisine in the Crown Casino Entertainment Complex at Southbank. We have exciting opportunities for an experienced Sous Chef to join our busy team.

This is a full time salary based position, reporting directly to the Head Chef.

Experience will include: extensive food and product knowledge, provision of consistent quality and presentation in a fast paced high volume environment, ability to work under pressure, working within a team and minimum 3 years experience.

Experience with Italian cuisine would be an advantage but not essential. Work is five shifts over a 7 day rotating roster which may be lunch and/or dinner service including on weekends and public holidays. Attributes will include: a passion for food and customer focused.
Excellent salary package is available for the right candidate.

Chef De Partie

Full time – $65,000 – $70,000

We are seeking an experienced Chef de Partie to work in the Pasta/Risotto and/or Mains/Grill Sections at our busy restaurant serving modern Italian and casual cuisine at Southbank/CBD.  The location is easily accessed by public transport.

team.

This is a full time position available reporting directly to the Head Chef.

Experience will include: extensive food and product knowledge, provision of consistent quality and presentation in a fast paced high volume environment, ability to work under pressure at times, working within a team and a minimum 3 years experience working in the Pasta/Risotto and/or Mains/Grill section of the kitchen.

Chefs – Pizza Makers Full Time & Casual

We are seeking experienced Pizza Chefs at our busy restaurant serving modern Italian and casual cuisine at Southbank/CBD.  The location is easily accessed by public transport.

We have exciting opportunities for experienced Pizza Chefs to join our busy team.

There is a full-time position and also casual position available reporting directly to the Head Chef.

Experience will include: provision of consistent quality and presentation in a generally fast-paced high-volume environment, ability to work under pressure at times, working within a team and minimum 2 years experience working as a Pizza Maker.

The full-time position is 5 shifts worked over a 7-day roster which maybe lunch and/or dinner service including on weekends and public holidays.

The casual position will be 2 to 3 shifts per week which may be lunch and/or dinner service including on weekends and public holidays

Attributes will include: a passion for food and customer focused.

An excellent salary is available for the right candidate.

 

Casual/ Full-time Wait Staff

We are looking for professional front of house staff to join our team. Located along the Yarra river, Baci restaurant is a part of Crown Casino since 1997. We are known for our authentic Italian cuisine, cakes, coffee and dessert. 

About the role:

The front of house staff are the face of our business. As a waiter/waitress you are expected to be well groomed at all times, wear a smile and deliver amazing customer service to our patrons. Additionally you will have to

  • Take customer orders.
  • Set up and clear the tables.
  • Run food and drinks to the table.
  • Promote offers and specials to patrons.

About you:

  • Minimum 6 months hospitality experience.
  • You have an excellent customer service focus.
  • Available on the weekends and public holidays.
  • You are people oriented, talented and a multitasker.

Breakfast Chef

We are looking for casual and full-time Breakfast chefs to join our family-owned Italian restaurant in Crown Casino, Baci restaurant. 

We’re looking for candidates with the following skillset:

  • A passion for food preparation, cooking, plating, and presentation.
  • Able to work a rotating roster including days, evenings, weekends, and some public holidays.
  • 2-3 years experience in a previous role.
  • Positive attitude and ability to thrive under pressure.
  • Calm and professional manner with clear communication skills.
